These are the best kind. You know, the days when you don't have to go anywhere, and you can just enjoy being together at home...doing nothing...or something...it doesn't matter. You just cherish the time together because you know the days and months will turn into years, and they'll fly by. I'm seeing that now because sometimes it seems like my nine year old was the baby just last week. And while I don't find a lot of enjoyment in the very-young-baby stage of parenting, I am constantly reminding myself that Caroline will be the nine year old before I know it (and the nine year old will be heading off to college! Waaa!).
So here is our ordinary day...
Painting birthday pictures for Daddy and a friend...
Lots of time spent building and playing with Legos...
Many minutes (hours?) spent trying to coax some smiles out of this girl...and attempts to capture them on "film" by everyone who can find a camera to use! Lots of hours spent nursing her too...
Dessert after dinner even though it's Thursday and not the weekend, just because...
| So Delicious Coconut Milk popsicle for my allergy-boy |
| And drumsticks for these two |
And I didn't include any pictures of the laundry or diapers or vacuuming, but they were definitely a part of our ordinary day!
