Sounds like the title of a post about Florida or Louisiana perhaps, but it's really a post about baseball.
The boys' teams had their first games this week, so life has gotten super-busy again. At least this year we don't have a newborn in the mix!
Cade is playing for the Gators, and it's his first year playing machine-pitch. He was nervous about the machine-pitch at first, but since he's hit a few, he's doing fine.
Luke moved up to the majors which is 9-12 year olds. At not quite 10 years old, he's one of the younger players. But he's nearly the tallest on his team. The Pirates (my grandpa would be so proud!) are a young team all around, but they held their own in the game last night and pulled out a win. Hooray for the underdog!
The girls and I (and Stephen when he makes it home in time) are spending lots of hours watching and waiting these days. The boys' schedules have us at the baseball fields everyday from now through Memorial Day weekend. We've drawn the line at Sunday participation, but still that's a lot of dinners packed into the lunchbox! But Elsa had made a friend (a little brother of two of Cade's teammates), and Caroline just walks circles around my chair finding little bits of grass or flowers to pick up. I'm busy trying to keep everything out of her mouth, of course. She has started taking a few steps, and, I must say, as eager as I was for her to walk, I am now grateful that she can't stray too far. I have enough trouble keeping after Elsa who doesn't seem to understand the panic she incites when she disappears from my view.
And this is unrelated to baseball, but since today is Caroline's 11 month birthday, here's her latest picture...
