My Big Twin

After an initial rain-out, Mr. Blue-Eyes' team had their first game.  He's also playing for the Twins this year (the PeeWee league).

He was the lead off hitter and managed one of the few hits of the game. He singled and then managed to steal a few bases before a teammate hit one that sent him home. He's fielding at shortstop this year.

Here he is warming up...

Here's that lead-off single...

A few words from the first base coach...
Waiting for a hit to send him home...

A Little Princess Tea Party

I didn't get up early to watch the Royal Wedding, but I did prep some scones last night and popped them into the oven this morning for our Little Princess Tea Party.

When Cupcake woke up, we put on her cupcake dress and headed downstairs to watch the Royal Wedding (yay for DVRs!).

Watching and waiting for the bride to appear...

Sipping her "tea" (water) like a lady...
Even the boys had some "tea"...

Cupcake enjoys her first scone...

A Family Day

In recent months, Stephen's schedule has been more demanding than ever before, and our family times have been fewer and farther between.  Sundays are closely guarded days as they're the only day we are pretty much guaranteed to spend with him.

So when we had the opportunity to spend a whole Saturday together over Easter weekend, we headed south to Monticello.  I had been wanting to visit since we moved here, and spring seemed like the nicest time to be there.

It couldn't have been more beautiful.  The day started off cloudy, but by the time we actually made it to the top of the "little mountain" it had cleared off into a lovely, sunny day.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day:

My Little Twin

This year both boys are playing baseball. Between practices and games, most of our evenings are spent at the ball field.

Mr. Blue-Eyes is in the Pee-Wee league, and Boo-Boo has started playing Tee-ball. They have the same coach, and both teams are called the Twins (Mommy loves the dark blue pants - so much better than white!!). Thankfully, this means that most of their practices are together.

Boo-Boo had his first game last night, and here are a few pictures.

A last second pep-talk from a coach...
Ready to swing...

Made it to 1st base...

Heading from 2nd to 3rd...
He played catcher...and loved it!

I just hope he doesn't bite his tongue off one of these days!

Because...

...there are tons of pictures of Cupcake on here and not as many of her brothers, here are some of the boys too.

Mr. Blue-Eyes enjoys reading Pooh to his sister.

Boo-Boo uses his imaginary wrist-walkie-talkie.  He's probably playing Star Wars, as usual.

Mr. Blue-Eyes does Star Wars, too.

A battle scene perhaps?
And a few shots of all three of them. I didn't get any with all of their eyes on the camera, but that's par for the course here.
I especially like this one of Mr. Blue-Eyes.  He looks so big, though!

Doorstep Packages

Like most people, we love opening the front door to find a package on the step.  And there have been some fun ones lately...new books, a new Dyson, etc.

But this little girl is far and away the nicest package I've ever found on my doorstep.

Just hangin' out!

Pickin' up posies...
Enjoying unseasonably warm temps...

And this one's here - just because I think it's funny...
